What to Wear: Winter Edition

Fashion in November and December can sometimes feel like dressing in uniform. Plaids, riding boots, and warm neutral knits are custom for November when the temperatures finally begin to slip below the 70s. In December sequins, metallics, and festively bright sweaters shine at holiday parties. When the calendar is flipped and January rolls around, it isn’t uncommon to feel a little lost when picking out an outfit. At Witt’s End women’s boutique in College Station, our stylish gals still have a few tricks up our sleeves for the remaining winter months. Sure, we love the classic “winter white”, but style isn’t about predictability. Check out a few of our favorite ensembles and feel prepared to step out and look as fashionable as ever.
1. Catching Colors. Dreary Grey weather can make us feel a little down. Although the landscape is a little drab, we whole-heartedly believe it’s never too early to go for bold colors in the wardrobe. These pieces are also wonderful for the spring temperatures – not too cold, not too hot but just right. Goodbye winter blues, hello Caribbean blues!

2. New Classics. A classic moto jacket or leather bomber thrown over this lightly knitted striped sweater and leather boots has the perfect amount of edge to pull attention. Oh, and you better believe we’ll be sporting this sweater with jean shorts and crisp white sneakers when March arrives.

3.Attractive Opposites. This fun frayed white shrug looks extra chic on top of a pair of skinny black jeans. It’s about as effortless as sweats and a t-shirt, but works in all of the right ways. It’s award season, leave the jersey fabrics for nights snuggled in front of the rooting for your favorite actors and actresses.
